Rachel Therrien Delivers “Dinner & a Show” Perfection at Frankie’s Jazz Club [Show Review]

A long overdue date night started with a chill, scenic drive to downtown Vancouver. Along the ocean, mountain and tree-lined route, a playlist of ’90s R&B plays before dialing into some of the music we were about to hear. Sirius was swapped for Spotify, and the smooth sounds of Rachel Therrien’s catalogue started to emanate from the car stereo. “This is who we’re going to see?” my beautiful 8-months pregnant girlfriend asked. “Yep. Dinner and a show. Some cool jazz for our daughter,” I quipped. “I really like this,” she exclaimed.
