PK Bats are a post-punk trio from Edinburgh, Scotland, brought together by a mutual love for emotionally intense and sonically raw acts like Hot Snakes, Wipers and Husker Du. Their debut single, Black Mark, is released today, with a self-titled album to follow in late August, along an accompanying mini-tour. Black Mark is about the human tendency to torture ourselves with regrets and bad memories, which only increase in number the longer we live; as the song puts it, “an ever-lengthening list of damage done and opportunities missed”.
