It was a good year for One Step Closer, who released their sophomore album All You Embrace in May on Run For Cover, co-headlined the melodic hardcore tour of the year with Koyo and old friends Anxious (the latter of whom OSC singer Ryan Savitski used to play guitar in), and got that coveted Wonder Years co-sign when they played the band’s annual Philly fest. They’ve already got some touring lined up for 2025, including Run For Cover’s 20th anniversary Something in the Way festival, and now Ryan has shared with us his list of his favorite albums of 2024. Ryan’s list mostly includes other bands from in and around the hardcore/punk/emo scene, but like so many of us, he was also won over by current reigning pop queens Sabrina Carpenter and Charli XCX.
