Oxnard, CA post-hardcore vets No Motiv have signed to Wiretap Records and they’re about to release their first new song in 13 years, “Pieces,” which follows 2011’s Winterlong EP. The new song finds them exploring a cleaner, prettier side of their sound than No Motiv are usually best known for, and there’s no denying its soaring, emotive chorus. It comes with a video directed by longtime friend Steve Galichinski, and here’s what band member Roger Camero says about it: Navigating through the trickiness that is being a band with members that live across the West Coast, it is a true challenge to get all four members in the same room.
