Like many artists fortunate enough to avoid a pandemic writer’s block, The Menzingers’ guitarist/vocalist Gregor Burnett took advantage of the time to write and record an album. His solo debut, Don’t Go Throwing Roses in My Grave, is out February 18 via Epitaph Records. “The band couldn’t tour; I was going through a really difficult time, and I was stuck at home watching my family struggle with illness and death and hardship,” Burnett says. “The only thing I could do was write my way through it.” The title track gives a first glimpse of how Burnett’s sound will function in a new setting.
