In celebration of The Good Life’s sophomore album, Black Out, Saddle Creek have reissued the record on cassette for the first time. Initially a solo project for Cursive’s Tim Kasher, Black Out, helped to establish the project as a fully-fledged and distinctive band. Like Cursive, The Good Life expanded emo’s dark and brooding moods to a more expansive palette. On Black Out, the conventional rock band is complemented by electronics and orchestral instrumentation. The tape, featuring a six-panel J-card with fully lyrics and photos of the band from that era, is a limited edition of 200 magnolia-colored cassettes. Purchase Black Out here.
