Scottish punk legends Skids have released a new holiday single called “Christmas in Fife”. The song is a rousing celebration of the band’s hometown of Dunfermline, and its interesting inhabitants. It recalls the rollicking, ramshackle fun of The Pogues’ classic “Fairytale of New York”. Listen below. Dunfirmline is a relatively small city of just over 50 thousand in southern Scotland. It’s located between two rivers and the North Sea, and is the biggest city in the county of Fife. It has also been the home to several notable musicians.
