Bristol rock group Idles will get a feature-length documentary treatment in new film Don’t Go Gentle: A Film About Idles. The Mark Archer-directed film follows ten years of the band’s journey to their current success and connects their story to a fanbase that has rallied on their messages of positivity and activism. Initially begun a short film in 2017, the film’s intent grew as the band achieved new levels of success with their debut album Brutalism and collaborators Lindsay Melbourne and Sarah Archer joined on to the project. The film also highlights the AF Gang, a fan group that serves as an open and non-judgmental support group for its members. Don’t Go Gentle will be available on blu-ray, DVD, and digital on August 6.
