Indie rock gods, Dinosaur Jr, will drop their long anticipated new record, Sweep It Into Space, and new single, “I Ran Away,” April 23 via Jagjaguwar. This will be Dinosaur Jr’s first batch of new music since 2016’s Give A Glimpse Of What Yer Not. Kurt Vile co-produced Sweep It Into Space and plays lead 12 string on the single “I Ran Away” while bassist Lou Barlow sings on two tracks he wrote as well. Says J Mascis: “I ended up just mimicking a few things he’d done. I was listening to a lot of Thin Lizzy, so I was trying to get some of that dueling twin lead sound.
