Country-blues singer-songwriter, guitarist, drummer, producer, and video editor Johnny Pearl recently released his single, “Cumberline,” a song full of catchy flavours and country vibes. While growing up in a small town in Ontario, Canada, where the only things to do were play music and work, Pearl did both. Pearl immersed himself in the music of Ray Charles, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, and Muddy Waters. A few years ago, Pearl recorded with members of the Grant African Methodist Episcopal Church, including sessions at Canterbury Studios, Number Nine Studio, Beyond the Beat, and Pineship Sound Studio.
