“Pop punk rapper” Hollow River (multi-instrumentalist Mark MacDonald) has released his new single and video, Loved Me Like A Book, that will appear on his upcoming We’re Going To Be OK EP that is due out in October. The former Berklee College of Music student dropped out with one semester left to pursue their career full-time. “Sometimes there is confusion on whether or not Hollow River is a band, to which I say “Hollow River is not a band — but I have a band and they are great. (“Loved Me Like A Book”) is about how people become a mosaic of the things they have experienced and the people they have loved and how it hurts to see yourself becoming a smaller part of someone you love and vice versa.
