Saturday night came around, and Holding Absence brought the last night of their tour to the Worcester Palladium Upstairs. It was a sold-out show with bands Casey, Capstan, and Acres. I’ve heard of the band Acres, as they’ve come up on my Spotify a few times. They are a post-hardcore band from England that played seven songs consisting of “Burning Throne,” “Into Flames,” “A Different Shade of Misery,” “My Everything” and closed with “Lonely World.” During their Worcester set, they had a couple of crowd surfers come up to the front, who were their first crowd surfers here in the US. Acres blew my expectations, and they’re definitely a band I will be keeping on my radar. Up next was Capstan.
