Oakland, California-based rock outfit Greg Hoy & the Boys recently released their latest EP, Holy Mother of God, a pop-punk-flavoured collection of songs inspired by The Hives and The Kinks. Holy Mother of God features two awesome guests: Eddie Spaghetti of The Supersuckers, one of rock n’ roll’s underrated songwriters and icons, took the title of the song and wrote an entirely new story from a different perspective. And as a joke, the band decided to cut a tongue-in-cheek ‘upbeat’ version titled “Holy Mother of Ska,” featuring veteran ska icon Dave Sharma, drummer of the The Skalars, to play on it.
