EP Review: Project Revise – Songs From The Shed

Project Revise vocalist/guitarist Chris Tamburro has stated that this new EP from the Worcestershire pop-punks shows them “doing our best to never grow up”. Listening to the five tracks that make up Songs From The Shed, they’ve clearly nailed that goal. This record is an ode to the classic pop-punk that soundtracked the golden age of the Warped Tour, and its creators are pretty effective at getting across the genre’s trademark lyrical angst and musical bounce. Buoyant opener Another Day is the strongest song present, whilst the likes of Hide Yourself, Just A Story and Throw It Away are all functional if not ground-breaking examples of energetic melody.
