Las Vegas is getting a new emo (and emo-adjacent) festival called Best Friends Forever this October, and this one’s got a wider scope than nostalgia for the genre’s most popular era. It’s primarily made up of bands from the more indie-centric ’90s and 2010s-to-present eras, and it’s got a handful of rare sets and reunions. The headliners are Bright Eyes, the newly-back-in-action Sunny Day Real Estate, and the first-announced show in seven years from Cap’n Jazz.
