The title of Bummer Camp’s new long player, Stuck In A Dream, reveals the feeling of being caught up in edgy waves of grunge and shoegaze, a sound reminiscent of Deftones. Talking about the album’s title, Frank says, “We can choose to be stuck, but we also choose to wake up. What’s bleak is also beautiful, what’s beautiful is also bleak because it is ephemeral.” Bummer Camp is the brainchild of Eli Frank, who shaped the songs from sessions with just an acoustic guitar, followed by allowing the songs to evolve organically. Written and recorded in between projects, the album channels the tension of creativity.
