Montreal shoegaze duo Bodywash blends Chris Steward’s abstract guitars and Rosie Long Decter’s cascading vocals: blurring the digital and organic, gesturing toward something intangible, just out of reach. The remixed version of “Kind of Light,” by Alberta electronic artist Khotin, is destined for a sunrise slot in the chill-out room, channelling the West Coast rave psychedelia of Pilgrims of the Mind along with the more ambient influences that informed Bodywash’s last record, I Held the Shape While I Could.
