This one, I’m afraid, will be the proverbial shit sandwich review, with some nice things at the beginning, the not-so-pleasant filling and then a positive ending to complete the process. As Time Fades are a perfectly good emo-punk-pop band and for some people, this will be all the recommendation needed. Trust Fall is a collection of seven super-catchy guitar pop songs that explore the perennial genre themes (and I’m quoting now) ‘lost love, anger at injustice, expressions of love, feeling like a burden, and finding one’s self-worth’. If you had never heard this kind or earnest, shouty, dual harmony lead vocal fizzy pop music before, this could be a thrilling entrée to the scene, and the best thing ever.
