Skate punk icons J.F.A. released their debut record 40 years ago. In 1981, that made the band an innovator of the hardcore sub-genre’s even more condensed ferocity and skate culture connections. J.F.A.—which stands for Jodie Foster’s Army—pushed hardcore to an extreme with six tracks in only seven minutes.
