Wounded Touch sounds like the voice inside my head. It’s loud, chaotic and relentless. Unlike the voice in my head, their music serves as an energy break from outside noise. The 26 minutes of the aptly titled Americanxiety is a crushing but euphoric separation from the world. This album is a headache but is a much needed escape from absolutely everything. Wounded Touch takes influence from Converge, Every Time I Die and Poison the Well, among others. They’ve got the fast spazzy parts of Converge, the heavy rock and roll parts of Every Time I Die and the clean vocals of Poison the Well (Nick Holland sounds similar to Jeffrey Moreira, which is refreshing).
