Spiritworld are a band that thinks outside of the box. Though the music, while really good and riff-driven, doesn’t break any specific musical ground, their horror western lyrics and imagery make for a really interesting listen. There’s a reason that Century Media scooped this band up and rereleased Pagan Rituals. There is also a book of short stories by mastermind Stu Folsom that accompanies the album. Folsom knows how to write a quality song, both musically and lyrically. Spiritworld are heavy. The songs are full of hardcore, death metal fury with killer riffs and impressive breakdowns.
