If are like me (and I’m deeply sorry if so), you also miss the space-y goodness that it seems only Junius or Constants could provide. Those two bands—though quite different in their approaches—understood the power of melding space rock, shoegaze, and visceral doom. Listening to them was like escaping the world for a while and being wrapped in the coziest musical blanket possible. It was glorious. Well, somehow a meet-cute (or just professional friendships … ) was initiated, and a new band was formed from members of Junius, Constants, and Caspian (another excellent band). SOM could have changed one letter of their name to give a better hint of what to expected: SUM.
