Album Review: Massacre – Resurgence

Death metal emerged in the ’80s during the height of the Satanic Panic scare, truly rose to prominence in the ’90s, and has been scaring Christian mothers ever since. And I can see why, especially when listening to Massacre’s newest album Resurgence. This album is everything I love about death metal from one of the original bands in the genre that may be a bit underrated, but one thing is for certain: Massacre are back to kick some ass. Originally formed in 1984, the band has had multiple line-up changes, released a handful of albums and EP’s, and has gone on hiatus a few times. But, that’s enough history about them.
