Unseemlier are a heavy emo outfit from Boston that formed over the winter of 2023-24, the initial line up featured Mike Assatly (Little Low / Beartrap), Kevin Merriam (Crescent Ridge / Maura) and Chris Pina (Spirits / Borderland). They hit the ground running, writing and recording with Jason Tucker in Dorchester, during which time Andrea Neuenfeldt (MK Naomi / Fake Rays) completed the line up. Their incendiary five song EP, The Truth Is We Out Here, is now available via Berkeley, CA label Sell The Heart Records. The EP features urgent lyrics about the volatility of growing up disenfranchised and poor, unflinching in the face of end-stage capitalism and being left behind in life and death that electrify this ephemeral and powerful record.
