All musicians put a little bit of themselves in their music. Very few seem to put as much of their identity, the ways they’ve come to understand themselves, as Kevin Nichols. The young, queer, Oakland-based rocker has titled his debut LP Disappointer– which if his interview with IDIOTIQ is any guide, refers to how he always feels like he’s letting people in his life down. Disappointment and acceptance of rejection are consistent themes throughout the album.
