Listening to Deaf Club is akin to hopping in a time machine and going back 20 years (give or take); a time when I couldn’t get enough of that chaotic hardcore sound. They are far from a nostalgic act, as they maintain a modern sound with a throwback style. Productive Destruction kicks the door in, raids the fridge, makes a turbulent mess and leaves before giving anyone time to blink. Deaf Club excels at writing speedy songs that pack a punch while not taking up much time at all. They play a metallic crusty hardcore full of blast beats, syncopation and parts to sing along to.
