New South Korean skate punk band Fail Fast have released their debut EP, The Prepared Not Scared, along with an accompanying video for Slap On The Wrist that was directed by Won Jong Hee of legendary Korean punk band Rux. With song themes ranging from self-reflection, broken justice systems and avoiding the need for perfection, Fail Fast’s overall message is to try to keep moving forward through adversity and struggles while staying hopeful and positive. Made up of a mix of members from existing Korean hardcore and punk bands, Fail Fast is mainly inspired by ’90s skate punk and early 2000s melodic hardcore that isn’t currently being heavily represented in the Korean scene.
