NYHC veterans Shutdown returned last year with the Still… Against All Odds EP–which features re-recordings of songs from 1998’s Against All Odds and marked their first release in over 20 years–and now they announced an EP of entirely new material, By Your Side, due January 17 via Equal Vision (pre-order). The EP’s release coincides with the band’s 30th anniversary, and the lead single/title track puts a slightly more melodic spin on the classic Shutdown sound, while taking on the heavy topic of suicide prevention and mental health education.
