Last month, Oklahoma City emo band Ben Quad signed to Pure Noise and released the new single “You’ll Get Nothing and Like It,” and today they announced a new EP, Ephemera, and released its second single, “Your Face As An Effigy.” The new song doubles down on Ben Quad building a bridge between ’90s Midwest emo revival and 2000s melodic screamo revival, and this heavy, melodramatic direction suits them very, very well.
