Surprise! Asheville, NC emo band Kerosene Heights have a new EP called LEAVING dropping tomorrow, and the whole thing premieres right here. The self-released, four-song EP follows their great 2023 debut LP Southeast of Somewhere (released on No Sleep), and vocalist/guitarist Chance Smith tells us, “LEAVING is a reflection on our lives in the last year. A lot of being away from home, changes with the band, and uncertainty about the future. These songs, which are some of our favorites to date, are a testament to how worth it making music can be, despite how confusing and difficult it can feel at times.” The band have come a long way (and toured a lot) since Southeast of Somewhere was recorded, and you can really hear it in these songs, which are some of their best yet.
