Excide have signed to SharpTone Records (Dying Wish, Foreign Hands, Loathe, etc), and their first release for the label is the two-song single Humdinger, featuring “Dis(re)member” and “All Down But 9.” The former finds them leaning more into melodic post-grunge/alt-metal territory more than ever, while the latter keeps the more caustic post-hardcore vibes of their 2022 debut LP Deliberate Revolver intact. “Dis(re)member” comes with a video directed and produced by Tyler Norris of Excide’s new labelmates Foreign Hands, and here’s what Excide vocalist Tyler Washington says about that one: “Dis(re)member” is about leaving behind the person you were in the past.
