Quicksand‘s iconic, influential debut album Slip turned 30 last year, and the band celebrated with a reissue on Iodine Recordings, a tour, and a panel discussion about the album at NYC’s Generation Records on November 5, 2023. The 75-minute discussion featured Quicksand leader Walter Schreifels, writer/musician Norman Brannon (Texas Is The Reason, Anti-Matter, etc), photographer John Mockus, illustrator Melinda Beck, Iodine Recordings founder Casey Horrigan, and host/emcee Tom Bejgrowicz.
