Be Safe is a new band led by Matt Wojcik of Perfect Future, one of the early bands of the emo revival era and one of the first bands signed to Count Your Lucky Stars. Be Safe’s debut album Unwell also comes out on Count Your Lucky Stars–this Friday (1/19)–and ahead of its release, we’re premiering its new single “Axe Falls.” It’s an expansive, gradually-building indie-emo song with somber, Pedro the Lion-esque vocals set against loud, crashing guitars that eventually make way for a delicately clean, instrumental coda.
