Hot Hot Heat broke up in 2016 after releasing their self-titled album, and then they gave their classic debut LP Make Up the Breakdown a 20th anniversary reissue in 2022, and now they’re back! They’ve just released “Shock Me,” their first new single in seven years. It’s their first new song with guitarist Dante DeCaro since 2005 (who left Hot Hot Heat and joined Wolf Parade that year), and it also reunites vocalist/keyboardist Steve Bays and drummer Paul Hawley with Future Breeds-era bassist Parker Bossley.
