The band have curated a jagged mixture of 2000s pop-punk vibes with raw, personal lyrics that will remind myriad millennial listeners of their lonely emo days. The new track carries themes of unhealthy attachment and being toyed with. The Middle Room use the track to discuss poor situations that can be hard to walk away from, honing in on a long-since-doomed relationship in which neither party is able to let go.
