Album Review: Girlpool – Forgiveness

The members of Girlpool have returned to Los Angeles at a time when most people are fleeing the city. But perhaps this is just another character-shaping chapter in their already pretty epic story. Avery Tucker and Harmony Tividad started Girlpool in L.A. while still in high school, but tried their hand at life on the East Coast in 2015 after the success of their first full-length album, the aptly titled Before the World Was Big. The duo proceeded to release two more well-received albums out east, Powerplant in 2017 and What Chaos is Imaginary in 2019. And then, of course, the world sorta fell apart. But Girlpool kept going.
