Night Sins—the project from Kyle Kimball of NOTHING—emerged around 2010 in Philadelphia, embracing the musical path originally cut by names like The Sisters of Mercy and Clan of Xymox, with hints of The Mission and extensions into ’80s darkwave. The result is a distinct sound, complete with bass and drums punching into the eardrums of listeners, intricate guitar lines, minimal synths to round it out, and Kimball’s vocals confidently on top.
