Ahead of his new album, Six Pieces, Kristof Hahn is releasing his new video for the track “Erwachen,” premiering exclusively here at New Noise. Hahn is best known for his lap-steel guitar playing in SWANS and Pere Ubu, creating vast soundscapes that sometimes erupt into sonic thunderstorms and at others resolve into ethereal melodies. Scott Morrison directed the video and says, “I wanted the video to complement the serene yet brutal reaction I had to Kritof’s music. Something calming with an undercurrent of chaos.
