The folk-punk-indie darling of all of our dreams, Laura Stevenson, is back with her sixth studio album self-titled, Laura Stevenson. Laura Stevenson was released by Don Giovanni Records on August 6. Each song is filled with Stevenson’s signature self-harmonies and delicate warbles. Every song Stevenson has ever shared with us is nothing but a vulnerable piece of herself. The self-title of this album implies it is especially exposed; however, the poetic lyrics are veiled in emotional puzzle pieces, leaving listeners to guess and re-interpret over and over again Stevenson’s meaning.
