Dionne Warwick, Dropkick Murphys’ Ken Casey, Sam Moore, and more joined Rep. Ted Deutch (D-FL) and Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) at the U.S. Capitol to introduce the American Music Fairness Act. According to the Grammy’s website, the American Music Fairness Act is a bipartisan bill that would establish a performance right for sound recordings broadcasted by AM/FM radio. It would end a decades-long loophole that has enabled radio broadcasters to use the music of performers in the industry without compensating them for their work.
