Punk rock pro-skater Cher Straubery has announced her new album, Chering Is Caring, as well as dropping the video for her new single “Down n Out”. Cher has already taken the internet by storm, been sponsored by Vans and Converse, featured in Thrasher Mag, and has a skateboard in the Smithsonian, as the first transgender woman to become a pro-skateboarder. The new album was recorded almost entirely on a walkman and microcassette recorder that she’s had since she was 14, given to her by her older sister when she graduated college (she used to record her college lectures on it!). Cher always carries the tape recorder with her, and Chering Is Caring is the result of headaches, heartbreaks, and special moments Cher recorded over the course of two years.
