Following two years of writing and recording, Alex Maggard (formerly of The Browning and Capture the Crown) formed VANDALHEART with fellow Midwest music scene veterans Frank Rosado and Brent Brown of Chicago, Illinois and Justin Riley of Grand Rapids, Michigan in the summer of 2019. Two years of experimenting and refining finally brought the band to fruition. The boys met for the first time in the city of Flint to film a video for the band’s debut single “Awake” in July of 2019. Based in Alex’s hometown of Flint, Michigan, Vandalheart played their first show together in October of 2019 at The Loving Touch in Ferndale, Michigan, performing songs from their upcoming record, “L|O|W”, which is set to release in November 2020 via Duckphone Records.
