Hopeless Records is celebrating its 30th anniversary by reviving its classic compilation series Hopelessly Devoted To You as a covers series, with bands from the label’s current roster covering classics from throughout the Hopeless catalog. The first two songs are released are The Wonder Years covering Thrice‘s “Deadbolt” and Point North covering Avenged Sevenfold‘s “Unholy Confessions.” It’s always a treat to hear The Wonder Years leaning into their aggressive side, and this “Deadbolt” cover gives them the chance to do exactly that.
