Willacoochee, Georgia’s RVSHVD, who self-proclaims he’s “a little bit country and a little bit street,” returns with “Hit Different” to exemplify just that. Growing up, RVSHVD studied the songwriting of Lil Wayne, Eminem, and Tupac. He was a self-taught R&B singer, and then he heard a track by Keith Urban. “Hit Different” describes how these influences still are prevalent in RVSHVD’s sound, especially in the chorus where he sings, “Alpines bumping dirty south hip hop; Mix in with some country boy Rick Ross; Throw in a little Lil Wayne with a little bit of Travis Tritt; Yea I hit different.” The track was released via The Penthouse South / Sumerian Records.
