One Step Closer announce new LP, begin tour with Koyo & Anxious (win tix!)

Wilkes-Barre melodic hardcore band One Step Closer have announced their sophomore album, All You Embrace, due May 17 via Run For Cover (pre-order). It was produced and engineered by Jon Markson (Drain, Koyo, etc), and lead single “Leap Years” (released on Leap Day) finds the band moving into glossier, more melodic territory than ever. Their hardcore roots still come through, but they also lean more into grunge and alternative rock territory than ever before. It kinda reminds me of the jump that Balance and Composure made between Separation and The Things We Think We’re Missing. Check out the song and its video (directed by Derek Rathbun and OSC) below. One Step Closer begin their co-headlining tour with Anxious and Koyo at Hamden, CT’s Space Ballroom tonight (2/29)....
