Green Day have been busy this week making themselves very visible in the lead up to their new album release, having played a surprise set in a subway station, appeared on The Howard Stern Show, and now played a very intimate set at NYC’s Irving Plaza on the eve of Saviors‘ release. We were told Green Day would take the stage around 8pm, and that is pretty much exactly what happened, but first there were a few intros from SiriusXM who presented the show and recorded it. You’ll be able to hear the whole thing on the new Green Day Radio station this weekend. The show was also sponsored by Carnival Cruise Line who were thanked on stage and given credit for the free poster that every attendee got while walking out.
