David Duchovny has confirmed an August 20th release of his third album, Gestureland, via GMG/King Baby. The new studio recording follows the sophomore outing Every Third Thought (2018) and, according to a recent press release, “…builds on the musical and lyrical themes of its predecessor while exploring some new territory as heard on the first single ‘Layin’ On The Tracks.’” Commenting on the record’s lead single, David shared, “I just wanted to go on record in a way that was both personal and political.” He further expanded, adding, “The album represents three years of song writing over which time I think we developed into a band so there’s a stronger element of deep collaboration here.
