old Wrecks has released a brand new single today entitled “You Can’t Plan for This.” The song is the title track off the band’s third LP, which will be released on August 7th. The new album is Cold Wrecks’ first full-length record since 2019’s This Could Be Okay

The two major life changes looming over the writing of these songs were Mike becoming a father, and Craig losing his. The aptly titled You Can’t Plan for This grapples with responsibility, grief, and growth, through a mix of punk, emo, and rock songs performed with frantic energy, back-and-forth vocals, and intense vulnerability. It was produced and engineered by band themselves in Craig’s basement, with Bobby Edge mixing and Jesse Cannon mastering, with art by Brittany Fetcho.
