Citizen have shared a wonderful new single, If You’re Lonely, to kickstart their next chapter as a band. Taken from upcoming album Calling The Dogs (due out on October 6 via Run For Cover), the quintet’s new track reflects the ‘poignant’ direction of their future music. “I grew up around a narcissistic parent and absorbed a lot of that behaviour over time, negatively affecting people close to me,” explains vocalist Mat Kerekes of the song. “If You’re Lonely is about recognising that, growing from it, and becoming a reliable shoulder to lean on.” Watch the video below: Catch Citizen in the UK next February with Drug Church – get your tickets here.
