Brooklyn, NY transplant (by the way of Boston, MA) music artist Carissa Johnson releases L’heure Bleue, After Dark (Remixes) EP through Brooklyn-based A Diamond Heart Production label. Carissa Johnson is known for her straightforward lyrics, driving melodies, and her band’s inimitable live energy. Her musical career began in Boston, MA and has taken her all across the United States, playing over 350 shows in 35+ states between 2017 and 2020. She and her band won the New Act of the Year award at the 30th annual Boston Music Awards in 2017, the same year she won Boston’s legendary Rock n Roll Rumble (previous winners include Dresden Dolls & ‘Til Tuesday).
